The Nation­al Test­ing Agency (NTA) has issued an advi­so­ry for NEET (UG) 2025 aspi­rants, empha­siz­ing the impor­tance of updat­ing Aad­haar details to ensure a seam­less reg­is­tra­tion process. ​nta.ac.in

1. Align­ment with Edu­ca­tion­al Records:
   • Can­di­dates are advised to update their Aad­haar details to match their Class 10 mark sheet or pass­ing cer­tifi­cate. This align­ment is cru­cial for ver­i­fy­ing the can­di­date’s iden­ti­ty dur­ing the reg­is­tra­tion and exam­i­na­tion process­es.​
2. Link­ing Aad­haar with Mobile Num­ber:
   • It’s essen­tial that the Aad­haar is linked to a valid mobile num­ber to facil­i­tate OTP-based authen­ti­ca­tion. This step ensures that can­di­dates can effi­cient­ly com­plete the reg­is­tra­tion process and receive time­ly updates.​
3. Inte­gra­tion of APAAR ID:
   • The NTA rec­om­mends inte­grat­ing the Auto­mat­ed Per­ma­nent Aca­d­e­m­ic Account Reg­istry (APAAR) ID with NEET (UG) 2025 appli­ca­tions. The APAAR ID, pre­vi­ous­ly known as the Aca­d­e­m­ic Bank of Cred­its (ABC ID), is designed to dig­i­tal­ly store a stu­den­t’s aca­d­e­m­ic cred­its. • Enhanced Exam­i­na­tion Effi­cien­cy: With advance­ments in Aad­haar-based tech­nol­o­gy, such as the Face Authen­ti­ca­tion Method intro­duced by UIDAI, can­di­dates can now ben­e­fit from faster iden­ti­ty ver­i­fi­ca­tion tools.​
• Faster Atten­dance Ver­i­fi­ca­tion: Facial recog­ni­tion enables quick­er and more accu­rate iden­ti­ty ver­i­fi­ca­tion, ensur­ing smooth entry into the exam hall.​
• Wel­fare of Can­di­dates: Aad­haar authen­ti­ca­tion sim­pli­fies process­es and ensures can­di­dates are unique­ly iden­ti­fied, safe­guard­ing their inter­ests through­out the exam­i­na­tion life­cy­cle.​

Steps to Update Aad­haar Details:

• Can­di­dates should vis­it their near­est Aad­haar Enrollment/Update Cen­ter to ensure their Aad­haar cre­den­tials, includ­ing facial recog­ni­tion data, are accu­rate and up-to-date.​
